Programs we offer

Transitional Housing Program

The Community Transitional Housing Program is a bilingual program put in place to assist women and their children that are homeless, at risk of becoming homeless, or are victims of domestic violence. Potential clients could be living in the community or in an emergency shelter.

Referrals are accepted from all sources within the district who are wanting to live and seek services in Mattawa and area.

Outreach Services

Our outreach program offers community based information, resources, and supports to women and children who may require assistance away from the Centre. The focus is supporting those most in need in the community while promoting self-sufficiency and community involvement.

Within our outreach support program, we work under the vision that we reside in a community where every member has the opportunity to succeed. To bring that vision into reality, we provide resources and supports for community members in a way that fosters self-sufficiency.

Help with Legal Matters

The Mattawa Women’s Resource Centre can provide you with information regarding a variety of community resources including housing, employment, financial information and more. We understand that violence often creates compounding needs, and we seek to address womyn’s legal needs in a holistic way, which often includes more than just legal representation but also counseling and advocacy services.
